Milford, Massachusetts – April 11, 2019 – SVN | Parsons Commercial Group | BOSTON announced the completion of the sale of 223 Main Street in Milford, Massachusetts. Marilyn Santiago, Alex Wood and Victor Galvani, Commercial Real Estate Advisors at SVN | Parsons Commercial Group | BOSTON handled the transaction. The seller owned the building since 2006 when it was formerly Benjamin Franklin Savings Bank.
Historically used as a bank building, 223 Main Street has been a landmark property in the downtown area since its inception in the early 1900’s. The building is comprised of 12,500± SF with two stories above grade and prominently situated on one of the largest private parcels in the downtown area of 1.4 acres. Milford National Bank was the latest tenant who vacated earlier in the year after they were acquired by Rockland Trust Bank.
“When we took the assignment of selling a large vacant bank building, we thought about the many possible repositioning opportunities because banks have been downsizing to much smaller footprints,” commented, Santiago. “The large parking lot with over 54 spaces and the flexible zoning allowed us to attract a popular restaurant owner, Mr. Theodore Kasseris who purchased the signature building for just under $1M.
“I am happy for my client as they look to expand their business in Downtown Milford. Seeing what they did for Downtown Hudson, Milford is very lucky to have them,” noted Alex Wood.
Full plans and details have not been disclosed by the new ownership.
